At Ocean we actively promote our own diversity and we have established the company through this lens. Our objective is to use this DNA to develop greater inclusion within the investments industry. In 2016, 52% of the people we placed were Women and 85% were ‘diverse’. As such, we have been moving the dial on diversity because we believe in the impact of collective difference and its value to business.

Internally, we encourage diversity of thought as well as inherited diversity because we believe that both components help us to create diverse talent pools. This also brings greater innovation and creativity to the inclusive recruitment journey which benefits both our clients and our candidates.

Our commitment to the investment industry has led to us taking the unusual step in appointing an in-house diversity and inclusion director to establish a centre of excellence. Ocean supports investments firms with inclusive recruitment and cultural change which is spearheaded by our industry research.
