Inclusive leadership - how to lead a diverse team - Breakfast Seminar.

8.30am - 9.30am. Warnford Court, 29 Throgmorton Street, London, EC2N 2AT.

Overview

What will it take to be a great leader in the future? In five years, ten years, even fifteen years? What will it take to be a great leader in the future? What is clear is that the current model of leadership is not fit for purpose. The Industry faces a challenge in the way it is perceived in valuing a certain style of leadership. Also global mega-trends are creating a business context that is far less homogenous and much more diverse than has historically been the case. These interrelated shifts are influencing business priorities, and reshaping the capabilities required of leaders to succeed in the future.  Inclusive leadership offers an opportunity to lead and manage increasingly diverse teams more effectively, Depending on which research paper you may have read there are between 4, 6 or even 15 key signature traits which future leaders will need to exhibit and call upon to lead cognitively diverse teams.

This facilitated session will focus on how the Investment Management Industry needs to change its alpha leadership style to best suit the changing trends, identify what are the critical factors within the industry that  will influence the need to adopt a more inclusive style of leadership and identify where there is existing best practice within the Industry.

D&I Metrics

What gets measured gets done. That is why we collect diversity metrics on both our candidates and clients in line with the Data Protection and Equality Acts. This allows us to identify areas requiring additional focus and also to measure progress across the industry. With biases prevalence through the employee lifecycle we actively utilize our diversity data to demonstrate where barriers exist and to create solutions to overcome them.
