Ocean’s Referral Scheme – Terms & Conditions

Ocean’s Referral Scheme is open and available to individuals who are registered with Ocean.

The “Referrer” relates to the person that is referring the Referee.

The “Referee” relates to the person that is being referred by “the Referrer” to Ocean for a role we are recruiting for. 

To qualify for Ocean’s Referral Scheme, the following terms and conditions will apply:

  • The Referrer must be registered with Ocean in order to be eligible for the referral scheme.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, no referral gift amount is payable if a referred person works in a temporary position through Ocean outside the UK, or is placed at an Ocean client in permanent employment outside the UK.
  • The Referrer must have the permission of the person they are referring before submitting their details. This is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The Referrer will indemnify Ocean for any loss or claim arising out of the Referrer’s failure to gain consent of the Referee.
  • Ocean must not already have received details of the referee prior to the referral or have the candidate on the Ocean customer relationship management system.
  • The placement must be made within three months of the referral being made. Any placement after three months will not be eligible for vouchers.
  • Prizes must be awarded within three months of registering. There is no alternative prize and the prize must be redeemed within three months of notification.
  • The responsibility remains with the Referrer to contact Ocean to claim their voucher.
  • For Permanent appointments a One4All voucher will be given to the Referrer once the Referee has been placed in a new role they have successfully passed their probationary and rebate period.
  • For Temporary positions, the referrer will be entitled to a payment of vouchers when the referred candidate is successfully placed by Ocean into a permanent position.
  • For Contract positions, the referrer will be entitled to a payment of vouchers when the referred candidate has completed their initial contract term.
  • Ocean is not responsible if a voucher is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.
  • This promotion is not open to employees of Ocean.
  • Eligibility for this offer is at Ocean’s discretion and our decision is final.
  • This scheme is effective from 01/08/2017 and Ocean reserves the right to change or terminate the scheme at any time.
