Timesheets and Contracting

OceanTime

OceanTime is our online timesheet platform and provides you with a fast and efficient way to manage your timesheets. All Contractors and Temporary Workers are responsible for completing their own timesheets through OceanTime unless their organisation has a preferred system.

Upon placement, all Contractor and Temporary Workers are provided with a personalised login for OceanTime and are paid monthly by The Ocean Partnership.

We run a monthly payroll, with payment usually falling the week after the last Friday of the month. To ensure payment, all timesheets must be authorised by midday on Tuesday of the payroll week to be paid on the Friday of the same week. We recommend timesheets are submitted weekly to ensure that they are approved in a timely manner, and to ensure that come payroll, you are paid your expected amount. Any timesheets not approved or completed by midday on the Tuesday must be automatically rolled into payroll for the following month.

If you have any questions about your timesheet or invoicing please contact us and we will respond to you within 24 hours: accounts@theoceanpartnership.com

Payment Types Offered

The Ocean Partnership offer three payment options, dependant on client approval: Limited Contractor, Umbrella Company and PAYE.

Limited Company Contractors

All limited company contractors must be a Director of their own limited companies and have the relevant insurances including professional indemnity, public liability and employer’s liability insurances. It is the limited company contractor’s responsibility to ensure worker compliance and contractual liabilities.

Umbrella Company

We work with a select number of Umbrella Companies that meet both our clients and our internal compliance requirements. To request a list of these companies, please contact accounts@theoceanpartnership.com

PAYE

We are able to provide a PAYE payment option to all contractors, subject to client agreement. If you choose this option, you will be paid by The Ocean Partnership, and we will ensure all National Insurance, tax and pension deductions are completed at source. We also monitor holiday entitlement to ensure you receive holiday pay as directed by government guidelines.
